About Active Audiology

Active Audiology is an established, independent private practice with clinics across Melbourne, focused on independent hearing services and comprehensive client care. Unlike large commercial retail chains, we offer our clinicians the autonomy to make genuine clinical decisions without the weight of constant sales pressure or restrictions on hearing aid brands.

We are looking for an experienced audiologist—ideally at least one year post-grad—who has built solid skills and is looking for a supportive, independent environment to further their career. If you are currently working in a commercial retail setting and looking for a refreshing change of pace that values long-term client outcomes, this role is the perfect opportunity for you.

What We Offer:

  • Clinical Autonomy: The freedom to select and fit a wide range of leading hearing devices tailored to your client’s needs.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a professional, close-knit team that values client outcomes.
  • Skill Development: Ongoing support to expand both your clinical capabilities and your understanding of private practice operations.

Role Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic hearing assessments on adults and children (aged 4+).
  • Select, fit, and adjust a diverse range of hearing technology.
  • Provide high-quality, holistic care with a focus on long-term client engagement.
  • Worksafe Victoria and NDIS assessments and fittings
  • CAPD assessments for children over 7 years
  • Wax removal using microsuction
  • Visit local nursing homes and community visiting sites as required.
  • Liaise with GPs in the local area
  • Maintain compliance with the Hearing Services Program (HSP) and WorkSafe Victoria.

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least one year of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • A candidate who is passionate about client engagement and care.
  • Full Audiology Australia membership and a current CCP.
  • HSP provider number
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Permanent working rights in Australia, a full driver’s licence, and access to a car for visiting sites.

How to Apply

If you are looking for a change of pace and want to experience the independent sector, we would love to hear from you.
